Good Morning Doc, Nozzi and Akenta, Glad you had fun, Doc. Thanks for the coffee and donuts, I’m already on my 2nd cup. Well, I was so tired last night, I just dropped into bed. I’m happy I didn’t have to get up at my usual 5:30am. I didn’t get up until almost 9. I’m going to check some other comics. Be back later. I always have a chapstick in my purse.

so good morning all. i over slpet. i was up till 12 reading and listening to the bad weather. it was some strong wind and bright lightning. so i did not get up till9:30 when i was supposed to get up about 6:30 to go to work. need less to say no work today.

It’s a beautiful day here! supposed to get up to 70, so I may not be around much! I want to plant my peas, onion sets, maybe some spinach and lettuce! Stripped my beds and will hang them out too! YEAH ITS SPRING!!! Of course Moday it’s supposed to rain and again and the temp high will be 48! Enjoy it while I can, eh?

The ice cream truck comes around here closer to summer - haven’t heard it yet this year. Besides the music it says something (probably “hello”). I think it’s kind of creepy. Reminds me of the “Do You Know the Muffin Man” show I saw on tv years ago.

Joy, of course wisdom is transferable - you say something wise, another person takes it to heart and passes it on :-)

Joy wow. i understand what yuo are saying. i may very well be one of those people also, who are not remembered in a few years. i hope i am remembered for something, but other things that ive been through i would rather not be remembered for. i’ve learned a lot and have gained “wisdom” in the last 3 months. i’ve learned that you never realy can trust some men. i’ve learned to be more observent and never go anywears alone. Ive became smarter about my choices in life and i have plenty of regrets. i’ve learned how to handle bad situations and such. yet i have not been throught the same as you and you as me, so our wisdom is not shared. some people just wont appreaicate the wisdom others have or understand it, unless they have been in the same situations and made the same hard choices.

Nozzi no need to worry. he has never put any rum in my drinks, i dont drink also. so dont worry. commic can behave.

nozzi NO worry, commic will behave! If not, we’ll make him walk the plank! :-D

Joy, I understand what you’re saying, but you can still from other people’s wisdom by watching what they do and how they handle certain situations. I may not have the same experiences as you, but if I like (or dislike) how you handle something, that will affect my own actions.

And I recently saw a comic about this too - I just can’t remember which one or when it was. I’ll have to dig around and see if I can find it. It showed two guys trying to hammer something into a wall, and the first guy hammered his thumb and I was wondering if the second learned anything from that.

tabby if I’m understanding you came close, but nothing happened. Thank God! Always be aware of your surroundings, which I’m sure you are! I have no words of wisdom here, becasue as Joy said, we all have our own experiences in life! “no two men will ever walk the same path in life” or words to that effect, but we can all be there for each other, expecially when the going gets tough!

dry what is messed up is that i trused this man. he is my nanny/aunts boyfriend and babys dad. i worry about that child day in and day out. and if it wasnt for her id be gone now. she is my rock and my life. my best friend/ teacher has been here for me more then any of my family has. i faught and won, not by much but i did. thanks for the word of encourgment.

tabby, I did try Too Much Coffee Man strip a while ago. But it was only once a week and moved too slowly for me to figure out what was going on. Today’s is labeled 16 of 8? I could never figure out when they were going to move to another storyline so I could try and follow it.

Joy, I did see Mamma Mia. I bought the DVD for my girls. We all loved it. I love Meryl Streep.

carmy I LOVED ABBA! I don’t care what my friends at work say! I also LOVED the Bee Gees! I have a varied taste in music! The only thing I don’t like is heavy metal, most opera, and country, like some blue grass though! i also love Maroon 5, Coldplay, and the Fray, and on and on!

Dry, I love most kinds of music too. I almost always listen to Christian music. Have you had a chance to hear Carrie Underwood sing How Great Thou Art? She sang it at the Opry and they play the recording on the radio. It’s WOW!

The thunder is rolling i can here it, so the rain is on its way. i smell that. dog is nervos so that is a sure sign the weather is coming in. may not get to get on if its to bad. ugh. just in case i cant good night all. if so ill be back.

I took my 13 year old brittany /sheltie cross to agility class this morning. What fun! She did very well for her first time, and we’re looking forward to going back next week. She did low hurdles, a tunnel, a climbing ramp, a sit and stay table, and jumped through a hanging rubber tire type of thing. The little gal has so much energy, I thought I’d give her something fun to do.

Nozzi and Carmy Never had a virgin pina colada, but I have had virgin bloody mary’s when I was pregnant. If you like spicy or hot, they are to die for! You can have them with tabasco sauce or horseradish mixed in, and yes they are made with tomato juice or V8, but they are sooo good! Although one time, when I was pregnant I had had about 3, heavy on the hot sauce and horseradish, and I had heart burn that whole night, I’m talking like 3 AM! And no tums in sight as we were on a weekend getaway! :-(

Dry that had to be some bad heartburn. does your child like v8 now? just wondering..

Hi Marg, glad you had fun with your ole gal! I have a friend who raises and shows pure bred shelties! She will be on Animal Planet sometime soon, but she won’t tell us when because she’s afraid she didn’t do well on TV so we have to drag the info out of her!

Hi Dry! Your heartburn story made me wince in sympathy. I found that I couldn’t drink when I was pregnant, nothing tasted good. Later on they found out that women shouldn’t drink while pregnant. My body was trying to tell me that all along.

Dry I am JUST like your sons….NO raw tomatoes but any kind of sauce made from them, different story! On my 3rd rum & Coke. Going salmon fishing tmrw.

Hey, what happened to Marg and Akenta?

doc I take it you print them out and pastel them up? I’ve been reading comics since I was about 5, couldn’t always read the words back then, but always looked at the pictures in our papers. When I was a teenager, I discovered I could draw freehand any comic in the paper and it looked almost like the original. My art teacher and guidance counselor thought I should go to art school. I was accepted at an art school in Pittsburgh, but I had a boyfriend who went into the army because our town was flooded badly during Agnes and the factory he and my dad were working at was closed. It was at the end of the Vietnam War, so I got married instead and never went to the art school. (we’re still married) I wouldn’t have been able to come up with the punch lines for the strips but with training, I could have drawn some good stuff I think! I guess that’s one of the reasons the comics have always been a big part of my life! When I discovered I could go online and view strips that were removed from our local papers, it made me very happy!

one last question. to all of you parents out there. do any of you have tips on potty training???? i cant take it any longer!!! im tired of changing dypers!!! shes not even my kid. Lord help me.

i say bed and movie and she goes wild she see beau (dog) and goes crazy. this will be a long night. Pray for me to make it. my kids will be in bed for 8 if i can help it.

Tabby, I’ve heard that if you take the child to the restroom whenever you go, they will get the idea and start using the potty on their own. You need to have a child’s potty chair for this. One friend starting putting her daughter on the potty chair as soon as she could sit by herself. She was going on her own by the time she could walk. I didn’t get to try this as my girls were past that when I learned of this.
