    Good morning. I don’t see any coffee brewing, but since doc mentioned tea was mentioned I’ll start the water boiling.

    I hope everyone has a good Tuesday. Some people at work were talking about Tuesday’s being long or something. I just remembered a friend in high school came up with the theory that Tuesday’s are the worst day of the week. Ever since then, it’s hard to look forward to them. On the up side, tomorrow is Wednesday and the week is almost over.

    Doc, COFFEE, that’s what helps me get them off to school. Right now it’s 3 off and 1 to go. The last one is the one I got keep after. So it’s “HURRY UP, or you’ll be walking!” I’m glad you had a nice time with your girlfriend. It’s great that she can get a break with some help from grandma. I’m sure she loves her daughter dearly, but breaks are very helpful for the both of them.

    Severe Wind Sends Chihuahua Flying Into Sky Don’t worry, the doggie is okay. This happened in Michigan. A 70 mph gust picked the dog right up. It was found safe (and very happy to be found thank you)nearly a mile away.

    G’day folks, It’s thundering and raining here in Houston. I was just reminded by JFri that I had been a No-Show over here lately and just wanted to remind all that it wasn’t intentional and didn’t mean to offend by my absense. I get on at little intervals but not enough to stay on for any length of time. This little community is comming along quite well and it’s fun and refreshing to see the commaderie and cheer everyone brings to each other. I may not always have something to say, but I do “peek-in” occasionally. . An’ keep tha’ Scurvy pirate in line or grog will be rationed to th’ bilge-rat. XD

    by the time i get home and get on, i miss him.

    i wish any of you cat lovers were closer to me. me neighbor has 2 baby kittins, like baby baby. need help babys. and they can’t keep them with the 3 kids and dog. i am not allowed to have a cat. so i cant do anything. i am trying to find someone to take them. the poor babies need help. (sigh)

    TABBY Urgent! Try contacting your local chapter of R.O.F.F. Rescue Our Furry Friends, or a similar organization like this in your area. They are animal rescue volunteers who foster unwanted animals in their own homes until a “forever home”, as they call it can be found. They operate on donations and grants, fund raisers. Two of my cats are rescue cats, and they are the sweetest things! Can’t imagine how people can be so cruel to each other and to defenseless critters of all types, even snakes!

    Dry thanks i will tell the neighbors. they are taking care of the cats for now, but they cant do it. they have three little boys so its hard. my dad hates cats. i miss my baby and i dont think i could do it agian. it was to hard losing her. :(

    okay new pic. you can see most of the dress this time. this is the lovely Mrs. Kim Roberts. Her name for me is “Sweet Lady” i love it. no one else but her. she is great. very kind and calls me the sweetest things. never had kids and i dont know why she would have been a great mom. :)

    Dry: That’s my kayak. That’s from the 2008 Verde River Canoe Challenge. Some friends and I always enter with our kayaks in the recreational division. This year’s was the 10th anniversary of the challenge. I’ve done it for 5 years.

    Akenta - The rains and winds were kinda rough this morning and there is still flooding in business parking lots and subdivisions not a mile from the house, but everything is fine here. The sun is presently shining and the back yard has drained totally. Thanks.

    Whew! there are areas of Hiway 45 Flooded north of Houston that has traffic moving about s-l-o-w. My wife took 45 minutes to drive 5 miles.

    I don’t recall it ever flooding that bad around here in The Woodlands area of North Houston. I’ve only been living in this part or town for the past 10 years. I was told that it drained faster after the last several hurricanes.

    Doc, I’ve gotten into the habit of taking some afternoon naps. My naps are not catnaps. I will sleep for a long time. Usually my oldest daughter will come into my room and ask me something like “Are you going to be getting up soon, or what?” or “Are we going to have dinner tonight?”

    carmy sounds like you are trying to do too much some days. May I offer some advice? Have things set out for your daughters that they can help prepare dinner. Maybe I’m over stepping, I don’t mean to.

    As far as I know, I have no medical conditions, but it irratates the ^hell^ out of me when my sons and husband can see the obvious, like an overflowing garbage can in the kitchen, and nobody thinks, “hey, I know where the garbage bags are. Wouldn’t it be nice if I emptied the trash for mom!” (My hubby also calls me “mom” or “woman”) Do they? When it starts spilling onto to floor, maybe! And I have learned to let it go until THEY get disgusted, unless company’s coming! LOL!

    Dry, you are not overstepping at all. My older girls can cook. They just need me sometimes to advise and/or help. Oh, I hear you about the garbage. Sometimes all I have to tell the girls is “you know bugs love all this garbage here.” They are so afraid of bugs, they will get that garbage out now.

    carmy yea, I had a good day, thanks for asking! Didn’t really work much at work, kept shifting between my excel work and here! Shame on me!

    Well, I have 3 guys, well mostly 2 now, as the oldest only comes home in spurts, and the youngest will be going to college end of August :-(, but bugs don’t scare them much!

    My youngest has gotten better about the garbage! It only gets to the point where the lid won’t close. Then he changes it! LOL

    Oh, and I’ve been meaning to tell you, I know what you mean about laundry! I mostly do mine late at night too!

    tabby if Owlslys talking about real birch beer, there is no alcohol. I believe they make it from the bark of birch trees. Our grocery stores sell it here, not that brand, but it’s very tasty! They sell it in the soda section of our grocery stores.

I don’t consider Pibgorn and Big Top as Competitors, but rather Big TOP a spin-off alternative to SOTU’s aggressive nature. I like the people and frequent both.     Oh I like the old Bogey movies too. I have never seen the Hitchcock series. As for 30’s comedy I go for the Three Stooges. Good Night Owlsly.

    Oh I misread your last post, Owlsly, and thought you were going to bed. I remember that Hitchcock scene too, Rad. Good stuff. Carmy, I would say that my favorite stooge short is either “Three Little Beers” or “Spooks.”

    jdoc, i can’t remember the titles too well. i only remembered “Disorder” because i have it on dvd. there are a couple of others on there, and i can’t even remember those titles.

    i remember one with shemp (i prefer curly) and he was sick. the doctor gave him some medicine. he told moe and larry to give him a dose, skip an hour and repeat. so they gave shemp a dose and got him out of bed and tried to make him literally skip for one hour.

    I believe Big Top should make Owlsly Whistlepig Honorary Ringmaster for a day for holding up the honor of Big Top with approx. 50 posts. It was a fun competition even if most of those guys at Pibgorn are still holding down day jobs and normally turn in early. G’nite peoples.

    I went out and bought the first few years of the stooges. When me and my brothers were real little we used to watch the stooges late at night, and we liked Shemp better. (I like them all now.) Good Night Rad! I will send all my positive vibes and prayers to BMONK.
