Doc, sorry I was away for a while. I got a Keurig Coffee maker for my birthday and I was setting it up for the first time. I did catch your comment about the feeling part and I agree that IS your job. I have all the troubles I want here. And I’m loving those troubles immensely!! I too am very lucky. ;^)

Doc, I too, was married to a “Grumpy” and I let her sleep whenever I could. I used to work quite a bit out in the garage back then for some reason. I took care of the kids most of the time. I did anything to avoid the situation! lol

Hello Terry. When my wife is Grumpy, suddenly so am I.

Cleo, It is difficult for me to get grumpy with Wolfangil under normal circumstances. I don’t like being that way. I like being a happy person. I even avoid people that are unhappy in life.

Now that I think of it, there aren’t any unhappy people in my life either. I never stopped to think about that before.

I’m getting ready to watch football. It is still only 3 degrees here at 11:40! I really enjoy the fireplace this time of the year.

My day is going to be spent doing some reading. I have a library book due on Tuesday and I waited 3 months for my name to get to the top of the list.

*Terry * I have had the book almost 3 weeks but have been busy painting two rooms, working in the darkroom and I go through reading phases. When we went to Virginia in October I didn’t have time to read and got out of the habit of reading everyday and I haven’t gotten back into it since.

Cleo–My daughter works at a library and sometimes when there is a waiting list they only give the book for a week at a time.

Terry, it is that way here too, but the time limit is two weeks. At the time that I checked it out, I asked and they said it was 3 weeks for this book. Hmm, maybe I was the last one on the list. I should go to their website and see if I can renew it.

It’s nice with my daughter working at the library. I just have her renew it for me. They have the online capablity here too.

Nope there are people waiting for it. I guess I better plan on putting my mind to reading. There are worse tasks. LOL

Baltimore is playing in the early game today, it was going well, but I do not like how these recent events have gone.

It is during playoffs and big games when I miss having a TV. I will really miss it during the Olympics.

The Ravens are making some mistakes now!

They do that from time to time, It was nice of New England to spot us 24.

The Ravens need to keep running the ball at New England. I don’t think the Patriots can stop the running game consistently.

Especially wiht that three headed monster of Mcclain, Rice and McGahee!

hymenoxis you sure do like to keep the Big Top clean and sanitized. You did a good job.

I love the way the Ravens play football. Old-fashioned, who wants it more, smash-mouth football. And eventually, Flacco will be able to throw the ball.

I just want the Ravens to win! I don’t care how.

My husband is watching the game, and from the sounds that he has made, it appears that he is happy with the results so far.

Anyone else Ravens fans, or just don’t like the Patriots, as seems to be the majority of the cases?

I’m not saying that the Patriots are a bad team, but having been through that spygate scandal (I think that’s what it was called) awhile back, it may have left a bitter taste in the mouths of football fans.

Of course I could be wrong!

That has been mark against the integrity of the Patriots, although I had forgotten about that.

I think they are just one of those teams that others love to see lose. Like the Yankees maybe.

The Pistons of the late 90’s were also one of those teams.

Yes Tabby and I have managed to not do much reading today either. On our bike ride around the lake, we ran into a neighbor who is putting the last touches on a two or three year total remodel of his cabin into a beautiful home. So we stopped in their and saw his newest touches. I have got to sit down and read.

I think it had it’s start with me bringing up some household painting that I was about to do. Suddenly (help) was coming out of the woodwork.

Tabby this is going to dampen your desires to be a mom of your own. At very least it will open your eyes to the fact that being a mom is a lot of responsibility with very limited time to yourself.

Well Tabby to many people do not put any thought into it and become parents before they have had a chance to decide on what they would like their future to be like. It is good that you are thinking about these things. If ever anybody has a doubt about anything, it’s best to think things over until you either decide the doubts were just nerves or actually legitimate and warnings.

Wow Terry that would be a fun game to be watching alright.

Yes, I bet it was Terry. I like high scoring offense driven games, which I assume this had to be.

Cleo–I like the high scoring games also. The defenses couldn’t stop each other at all until the fumble recovery for a TD in overtime!

Doc all scoring involves athletic endeavors. But like you I prefer the endeavors that are one on one.

I just got off the phone to my friend in Prescott, AZ. He got a few extra gray hairs when AZ missed the field goal and the game went into overtime.

So Doc how was your day? We had another stellar day. It was about 7 degrees cooler than yesterday, but still amazing for January.

Doc, insomnia is a drag. When I experienced it you are in a comfortable bed, you are tired, you want to sleep, but for me it was too many thoughts invading my mind. Maybe I am sleeping better now because LG has taken over the plans for the day ahead. I don’t know, it is just odd how all my insomnia ended when we became a couple.

Hi yyyguy Hope you see this! I was in Ithaca today! Didn’t get to see the games but listened on the radio, better than nothing! Got home in time to see most of the 4th qtr. and the OT, which lasted about all of 3 seconds, ROFLMAO! That endeing was GREAT!

Tabby - When I was just a few years older than you, I ended up babysitting quadruplets. Until then, I didn’t think I wanted kids, because of all the work involved. Once I experienced the loving side, I knew I wanted to be a mom. HOWEVER, I realized that I’m not cut out to be a single mom! Therefore, when my future hubby & I were getting serious and talking of marriage, I made sure that he agreed to a couple of kids, and we spent a weekend with the quads & their parents. (By that time, they had moved to CO, and were 2 years old.) Having a husband who will be a Dad to your kids makes a huge difference! As active as our oldest was, I really looked forward to the time each day when my hubby arrived home, so HE could take over the childcare duties, or at least most of them. So, wait until you’re married, make sure you marry a man who will be a good Dad, and I think you’ll be a great mom, who will enjoy her kids (for the most part - there are always times when they aren’t so enjoyable.) We joked that we couldn’t get divorced, because neither one of us wanted custody. I admire single parents who do a great job, but I’m sure it is much more difficult, than when you’ve got a spouse to share the load.

Good Evening Dry & Rmom. I have always been certain that I was not meant to have kids. And as I have said before, my wife and I could only have been partners at this stage in life, because she did and I didn’t. Sometimes you meet people when you are meant to meet them.

Cleo - I agree that many parents should never have had kids. At least if you didn’t want kids, you didn’t have them. I feel for kids whose parents never wanted to have kids, and never changed their minds even after their children were born. My husband said he only agreed to have kids, because he wanted me. A lot of that is because his dad wasn’t a great dad (not abusive, just not a lot of positive times with him), and because he’s self-centered. (Not that he’d admit it, of course…) However, he’s been a pretty good dad for someone who didn’t have a great role model, or a huge desire for kids. He has a very good relationship with our kids, and they show each other a lot of affection. No parent is perfect, but overall, he’s done well.

You state my point very well Rmom. The most important decision a person can make is whether to have kids or not and a person better have thought out the process before proceeding further.
