JFRI I’ll ask the cook. It wouldn’t be cheating on my diet if I ate a Krispy Kream or two, seeing that there are no franchises in my state? Imported food has no calories.

    Morning TRIBE! Enjoy January thaw.

Doc–Good luck with the newspaper and TV venues. Is there any thing $$wise to measure your collection up to? Even if there none as big as yours, at least it would give you an idea of it’s value.

Doc–I sold my HO slot cars on there and one went for over $125.00 used while a new one went for $75.00(buy it now!) & didn’t sell. The new one was from the same era as my used one. Granted, my used one was in pristine condition, but still used. Go figure.

Doc–Depending on what it’s worth now compared to down the road, you may want to save it for your son. I am doing that with my father’s books and our Lionel collection among other things. This could give my kids something to fall back on after I’m out of here.

I’m surprised that there were no cookies, much less big ones, for breakfast.

So, I have brought a generous supply of big cookies–chocolate chip, M&M, Peanut Butter, Anise, Sandies–for the Tribe, plus a set of big coffeecups to dunk them in.

Be careful–I only have a couple of oversize cups that can handle DocT’s Nuclear Coffee–the factory engineer that I talked to kept mumbling something about “critical mass” and “dangerous”…

    Tabby I worry about you.

Since I do not have TV I have been watching old shows online. Tonight was Fathers Know Best and The Addams Family.

Video wise I have been introducing my wife to one of my favorite shows of all time, Northern Exposure, which was filmed in WA. My wife who lived in Alaska keeps reminding me that it in no way looks like Alaska.

Well, hey there, Terry. Just doing a routine check on strontium and cesium in the living room here. I don’t know if you remember the Great Nuclear Coffee Reactor Meltdown of 2009, but I have to do periodic dosimeter sweeps to make sure there’s no residual radioactivity.

Have you had any abnormal hair loss or gum bleeding?

I finally got my comic rounds done for the day. I think it is time to head for bed. Doc & Terry - I made another post at BC. This mom doesn’t think it is necessary for the parent to get punished for the kid’s poor choices - at least when there are other methods available.

    See y’all in the morning!

just in time to miss everyone. oh well. quick note to DocT about the archive. I know from first hand experience how difficult it can be to give up something you’ve been doing that long. i spent 32 years refereeing hockey games for (mostly) children and teens, and gave it up 6 years ago. I, too, felt the time was right to stop, and it turns out to have been a good decision for me in most ways. I found other things to do to fill some of the time i used to spend on the ice, and find that i rarely miss it. i have lots of wonderful memories, though. i’m sure you will find it to be the same, and wish you all the best.
