Eggs Bennie with Hollandaise sauce
Chicken fried steak with farm fresh eggs
Homemade bread toasted and buttered served with homemade blackberry or strawberry jam
Grits served with pan fried trout
Don’t forget the anchovy pizza
Fresh fruit and vanilla yoghurt
Doc’s nuclear coffee
Rakkav’s Cocha mocha
Thanks Dawn! I was hiding, but only because I am too tired to cook. If I wasn’t so tired I could have tried to catch the mime and stolen Wink’s wallet back. Then I could have treated everyone to a road trip breakfast. :-)

Doc, I must say I am a bit jealous that you grew up at that time. I would’ve loved to be around when some of my favorite bands were not only still together, but still alive.
That’s fine Dry, I have conflicting opinions with this generation on a number of things anyway.
Hi Tabby, I’ll clean your room for you, all you have to do is bring it up here.
I’ve been checking on all the news reports from tsunamis generated by the Chile quake. Hawaii is supposed to have it hit them at about 11:19 AM. CA, OR, WA, BC and Alaska could get small surges. Hawaii though could get 8 foot surges which would be pretty high because they would be coming in at 500 to 600 miles per hour.

I’m suffering from information over-load. I’ve never been to the Hawaiian Islands, but I’m fairly certain I know where the WalMart is on the Big Island and how the traffic affects tsunami patterns between Oahu and Maui.
Hello Saucy. I know that this is so far pretty much of a non-event in Hawaii, to see people basking in the water in Waikiki is so beyond stupid. Police came and forced everyone off the beach and as soon as they police left they came back. Let them be if things get rough we are better off without them.
Cleo they aren’t in danger yet. I would probably be one of the ones waiting and watching if I had an escape route planned, and I would know when to cut my losses and run for “them thar hills!”
Hello to all I don’t get on this site all the time takes too long to read comments and everyone has there favorite on this one strip I don’t think I’m one. And my rt arm will tire to easy.
I’m not so sure of escape routes. Of course I’m not from those any of those areas. Last few years after hurricane hit Louisiana there was one to hit Texas and that created chaos.
Here we are close to news time so we will see what God has planned for high waters.
Mean while deciding whats for dinner.
How about smoked chicken, hamburgers and hotdogs.
potatoes salad. simple meal? Weather is getting warmer here and getting closer to barbaque weather.
I Barbequed salmon last night and it came out perfect, nice and moist. It is more challenging when your are doing it after sunset, but outdoor lights help a bit.
Just listening to some tunes. I LOVED THE BEE GEES, but I love the way she did the rendition of this one! I like her version better than the original! Of course, it’s by Feist! Get the connection? LOL!
Hi Dry & Tabby
I take it you’re now holding down the fort.
I just finsihed watching part of my new British Comedy set called Are You being Served. I couldn’t stop laughing. I love British comedy, but that, along with Red Dwarf probably ranks high on my list of favorites.
Dry, it is addiction, because I felt I needed to check in after my Are You Being Served fix for more laughs and to catch up on the afternoon chatter. That and I still have 1/2 a beer left.
My wife messed up my internet connection beyond anything I had ever dealt with before and I just now got back on. I thought that I was going to have to take my computer in to Apple.
Lonewolf, I just recently bought the collection. I’ve had Red Dwarf for a little over a year and I would also like to get Keeeping Up Appearances . I love British comedies, but I’d like to also try to get my hands on the complete original Avengers series as well. But that would be very expensive from what I’ve seen.
Cleo We heard ya’ Dude! Just messin’ with ya’! That happens to me a LOT! Sometimes 3 times! I keep checking after I post, just to be sure! Once I had like 5 or 6 of the same post! LOL!
I think that I am going to have to replace my mouse. My wife had me at the edge when she lost all possiblilty of getting on line. I had to tweak everything over and over until I got on. And of course I do not remember what did it.
Dry, Those titles sound very familiar, but I don’t think I’ve seen them in a very long time. My local PBS station hasn’t had the greatest programming, but did have Are You Being Served?, which prompted me to buy the series. While living in Dallas, my local PBS station showed Chef, Red Dwarf & Keeping Up Appearances
Grog I think one of my all time favorites, well two, was when they had to stay in the store for the night and Mrs. Slocombe made up her own apartment, and the COMMERCIAL FOR THE STORE! I still laugh so hard at that one! Mrs. Slocombe and her eye lashes!
yyyguy, Bon Jovi hung out in Vancouver as they recorded an album and spent a lot of time in a strip bar called Number 5 Orange. I don’t know if Glory was working but I am sure they saw a blaze.
Lonewolf i don’t have any of those DVDs but i do have Remington Steele, Perry Mason (the first 2 seasons) & the first season of Superman (the George Reeves series i watched as a kid. i finally learned enough about my viewing habits to realize buying an entire series of DVDs about a program was not the best of ideas. i’ll watch them all eventually, but it’s a very slow process). i also have a collection of Red Skelton tapes which predate the variety show i remember watching on Tuesday nights as a kid. (i have way too many DVDs.)
yyyguy it was Bon Jovi.
Loneowlf I, too, have Hogan’s Heroes and the first 3 seasons of MASH. But as a classic movie & television collector I have much more and am working on more still. As I said this morning, I want to add to my Night Court collection. Also, they are finally releasing more Adam 12 which I’m also interested in.
Grog I LOVED “CHEF”!!!! OMG, THAT WAS A GREAT SHOW! I was so sad when Lenny Henry (Chef Gareth Blackstock) decided not to do the series for a 4th season. That show was absolutely FABULOUS!
anyone ever watch a series called “My Hero” (which i’ve mentioned before, i’m sure)? i have a season worth of it, too, and some Monty Python. i’m going to need to take several weekends to just watch DVDs at some point.
(for those who care, Finland just scored an empty net goal to clinch the win and the bronze medal. as the commentator said, “Now there’s only one game left.”)
yyyguy is a true Canadian. He’s gotta watch all the hockey games. I know, I’ve lived with those hockey nuts for so long. You can’t watch a sports broadcast in the summer without hearing about hockey.
used to watch the syndicated version of Adam-12 regularly, and like Dragnet, too. M.A.S.H is a show that seems to be running in perpetuity up here - i was a big fan back in the day. funny how no shows that have run in the last 20 years have caught my fancy the same way.
DryI’ve seen To the Manor Born, but the others do not sound familiar. But it may be a choice in programming by the local PBS networks in the places I’ve lived.
i may be nuts, but hockey nut? not so much any more, though i still can appreciate a great game like this one was. spent 32 years as a referee in the game as well as being on the executive of a couple of leagues, so i come by my enthusiasm honestly!
yyyguy is the station you’re seeing those shows on still called Deja Vue? MASH ,on the other, is a show that is readily available in any market, like Cheers. I have not seen Adam 12 or Dragnet down here.
cleo i agree with you on Andy. i even watched the tv movie “reunion” they did with the cast several years back. it was a series that was moral, quiet, intelligent, gentle, and funny as h-e-double hockey sticks! most of today’s sitcoms seem to be dumber than rocks when ever i watch an episode.
I love my library. I can check out most of the DVD television series collections I want to see for free! I’ll be getting Hogan’s Heros in a week or two. I loved that when I was …….. .
Cleo–I’m getting the same symptoms as before when he dropped my dose . I called the doctor yesterday, but no return call yet. I’m not sure what to do. I really am lost now!
Sorry yyyguy, I may not be as big a hockey fan as most Canadians, but I am a Habs fan. But I don’t want to hear about it 12 months of the year, as you would in Montreal.
Grog Deja View changed it’s name to TVTropolis and now shows a bunch of shows i don’t particularly care for. Adam-12 is a show i haven’t seen since university days, but i do have memories of it. MASH is currently being shown on the History Channel. these other shows are undoubtedly being shown on one of the digital channels but i have no desire to pay even more money to my cable provider in order to see.
GROG, As a fan of British Comedy, have you seen* “Open All Hours” or “Allo, Allo?” I am also partial to “As Time Goes By”*. That is a GREAT comedy, but also a love story, so you may not have bothered with that one!
Dry i was going to mention “As Time Goes By” earlier. haven’t seen nearly enough of it, and i’ve yet to see a clinker. it strikes the right note over and over, and, like The Andy Griffith Show, is a gentle, intelligent, quiet, comedy that is extremely well made. that’s one i’d consider getting on DVD.
been around LuvH8, though not as much as i’d like to be. why can’t i be independently wealthy? (oh yeah, i don’t buy lottery tickets and my Dad wasn’t wealthy enough to leave me a huge trust fund. *sigh)
UncleWhy I occassionally buy a lottery ticket and then don’t check the results so I can pretend it might be a winner. I try to check them before the year is up though. I was very young when I watched Adam 12 (hee~hee)
Lonewolf I am sorry to hear you are not feeling so good. (Still don’t know what is wrong though, so no unsolicited advice!!)
Grog - If that is Root Beer, I’ll have one too, otherwise BLECHY.
Lonewolf, I’ve been trying say only good things about Monkey 2’s father when I agree with her when she’s being negative. I had to resort to “It’s not your dad’s face that is a jerk.” - pathetic. But at least I am trying. Apparently he’s been ranting about me and Monkey 1 quite a bit recently.
Yes, patience is good. Honestly, it is so sad to me that he is driving the monkeys away from him. Later in life he might decide that he was wrong and they might not care anymore at that point. I try to keep them open minded but I am not willing to ruin my relationship with them to help his.
Oh, I believe it. I’m just glad that my monkeys are old enough to see what the situation is now. That conversation on FHS might help me some more with them, also the quote I rewrote.

Mmm…hotdogs.
I want Nathan Becker’s job, the Oceanographer in Hawaii. He seemed unprepared to address the media, and probably has inhaled.
Mustard please, and sauerkraut.

Hello Saucy. I know that this is so far pretty much of a non-event in Hawaii, to see people basking in the water in Waikiki is so beyond stupid. Police came and forced everyone off the beach and as soon as they police left they came back. Let them be if things get rough we are better off without them.

The Duke 1 over 14 years ago
kab2rb, put me down for the barbecue when you get it going!! I can help with baby back ribs.

Dry, Those titles sound very familiar, but I don’t think I’ve seen them in a very long time. My local PBS station hasn’t had the greatest programming, but did have Are You Being Served?, which prompted me to buy the series. While living in Dallas, my local PBS station showed Chef, Red Dwarf & Keeping Up Appearances

yyyguy, Bon Jovi hung out in Vancouver as they recorded an album and spent a lot of time in a strip bar called Number 5 Orange. I don’t know if Glory was working but I am sure they saw a blaze.
yyyguy over 14 years ago
Lonewolf i don’t have any of those DVDs but i do have Remington Steele, Perry Mason (the first 2 seasons) & the first season of Superman (the George Reeves series i watched as a kid. i finally learned enough about my viewing habits to realize buying an entire series of DVDs about a program was not the best of ideas. i’ll watch them all eventually, but it’s a very slow process). i also have a collection of Red Skelton tapes which predate the variety show i remember watching on Tuesday nights as a kid. (i have way too many DVDs.)

anyone ever watch a series called “My Hero” (which i’ve mentioned before, i’m sure)? i have a season worth of it, too, and some Monty Python. i’m going to need to take several weekends to just watch DVDs at some point. used to watch the syndicated version of Adam-12 regularly, and like Dragnet, too. M.A.S.H is a show that seems to be running in perpetuity up here - i was a big fan back in the day. funny how no shows that have run in the last 20 years have caught my fancy the same way.

Hello Terry*. How was your day?
yyyguy over 14 years ago
cleo i agree with you on Andy. i even watched the tv movie “reunion” they did with the cast several years back. it was a series that was moral, quiet, intelligent, gentle, and funny as h-e-double hockey sticks! most of today’s sitcoms seem to be dumber than rocks when ever i watch an episode.

Grog Deja View changed it’s name to TVTropolis and now shows a bunch of shows i don’t particularly care for. Adam-12 is a show i haven’t seen since university days, but i do have memories of it.
