I don’t really watch professional sports much. My nephew plays softball on a little league team, I’ll probably go to some of those games.

Doc T - baseball is the sport where the uniforms show off the posteriors of the players and they show it off while preparing to bat.

I thought that was football, LuvH8. I thought you might get a kick out of those tight ends.

Doc I try asking that question, people say of course they need it. Even when they don’t remember they owned it in the first place. I should just throw things out and not tell them about it. (Okay sometimes I do that)

Football is the other tight end sport. And the pile ups are very much fun. I don’t make a good sport fan, I don’t care who wins.

So much to do, and so little week-end to do it in. I better get this day kick-started.

Just a quick stop to say howdy, pick up some breakfast and let you guys know I’m alive.

Work was hellish this week, then on Thursday we were told the rollover from NYC was not coming to us, it would go to Chicago. Duh, NYC 15 people, Charleston 5. Gee…ya think we might be swamped???? Chicago has a few more than 15, so they’ll be able to cope with it.

So Friday it was just our phones. It brought a whole new meaning to peace and quiet. We actually got work done. I still have a lot of catching up to do, but I’ll be off the week of the 15th. Whoo Hoo!

I’m off to pop the chicken kiev in the oven and get back to work on my shelving in my room. I’ll probably check in here and there, but I haven’t even done my toon-tour yet.

Carmy, I got about good 6 hours. I didn’t want to overdo it because I have much to do today. After I finish some paper work here, it’s off to the garage for a much needed clean-up. It’s going to be a beautiful afternoon for it, too.

Lonewolf, I just came back from running some errands. You didn’t chase me away. See my comments to Carmy for the rest of my activities for the day.

I’m sorry about that Doc. It will get better. I’m on some new meds in pill form. The good news is that I don’t have to go to the evil place so often. The side effects are not so bad, but I worry that might change as I increase the dosage. I think one of the side effects is making me more yappier and nuttier than usual and that’s okay with me. It could be worse. Grog, I’m glad you’re having some nice weather for your garage cleaning. Remember, when in doubt, throw it out!

Runza, a round, burger-size lump of bread stuffed with ground hamburger, cheese, and such. From the Volga Germans, aka Germans from Russia. They even have their own chain, which I did not know about.

bunny, it sounds tasty. I’ve had something very similar to that in a meatloaf form.

They are great, especially with a bowl of soup. My fave with them is tomato.

Oh yes, tomato soup would be an excellent go-with.

I got a call from the craft store, One of my ‘people’ necklaces had been bought but needed to be shorted by 4 inches. I dashed out there and fixed it, then dashed back to meet my friend here so she could help me assemble a shelving unit. We got it done toot-sweet and now I’m resting a bit before I start the shifting of drawer units from the other shelf to the new one.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m gonna get stuff done in time, but it will work out, I have confidence.

LuvH8–Oh no, he does not have any problem with homework. I pay for the electricity that he needs to run his XBOX 360 and he knows the consequences!

No and there is one spot I can’t find I am thinking in the vent. Senile Psycho Kitty may not be around much longer. I think part of it might be the senile thing. (HE IS NOT MY CAT!) He is showing his age and can only eat dry food without becoming Senile Stinky Psycho Kitty.

I am going to get another Beta. They are good pets. I’ve only had one fish that liked to wake me up in the middle of the night. Or maybe I’ll get a plastic fish, that’s even less work!

She’s going to the new Alice In Wonderland movie with Johnny Depp. They really have a thing for Johnny Depp. It’s funny because he was the cute guy in 21 Jump Street when I was their age.

What a gorgeous day it was here. Just got back from a day of activities. It is Booker’s Hour.

But Cleo I can’t read my book and the comics/comments at the same time. It’s too confusing.

LuvH8 I haven’t been reading my books either. I sit down with the page open and find some excuse to move on, even when I sit out on my deck. I go through phases of reading lots everyday and then not reading for awhile, but this lull has been since mid October and is my longest such lull.

Yes, I go through phases in my reading too. I hate it when a book I’ve been waiting for months to read comes out, and I can’t concentrate long enough to read it.

So, what is the alternative to Bookers for those of us who think alcohol is BLECHY!, and can’t drink anyway?

Hi Cleo. That’s the same with me as far as reading goes. I am either reading day after day or not reading for weeks. I’d join you in a Bookers but I am in the middle of a Corona. Without the fruit basket(lime)……………LOL.

Sparkling water with a squeeze of lemon or lime is a good substitute or whatever you like to sip to relax.

Grog the thing is, we were busy the other day so we picked up a Costco rotisserie chicken and had some leftover. My wife found this recipe that had a chicken chili made from left over rotisserie chicken and made it. I am not sure if she tweeked it or just did the recipe as is, but it was great. I added some chalupa hot sauce to mine along with chopped raw onions and cheese plus cilantro.

As has also been stated, you need to be careful about flagging as it can come to bite us here, too. We have been such warned by the Powers That Be. It has to be offensive in nature, not just because someone can be a jerk at times or because you don’t like what is said.

Oh, and yes Grog I did get the term from your comment.

Agreed, Lonewolf. I do not take flagging lightly. It would have to be pretty flagrant for me to push the button. BULLDOG was the most flagrant of all and I have no regrets about flagging him every time he presented the opportunity. Sometimes, it’s best to just walk away from the comment you find hard to tolerate.

Grog, That’s pretty much the way I look at flagging. If I’m not sure, I watch to see how others interpret the comment.

Cleo, It’s very difficult to try to have any type of sleep schedule with the medication. I’ll fall asleep for an hour, half hour, 4 hours, all different times and different times of the day and night, too. The doctor has brought up the idea of meds for sleeping but I’m totally against it. I have enough already!

Actually, the Eight is because of the current story at Pibgorn, where a mysterious eight hits the characters and causes as-yet unknown consequences, one of which may (or may not) be amnesia or being trapped in memories.

By the way, cleo, while I was doing my garage clean-up this afternoon, I was listening to one of my favorite bands from your neck of the woods: Heart.
