Thank you to everyone for the well wishes, prayers and support. I really do appreciate it.

Now they are not sure what is wrong with my mother. Because they thought her symptoms responded to anti-biotics, they were thinking pneumonia. Now they are going to do a heart test because the symptoms came back and they are fearing congestive heart failure. We will know more after the tests are completed.

Doc T I’m sorry about your headache. I don’t get migraines but sometimes I get stress headaches that are nasty. Usually wet heat on the back of my neck and ice on my head help more than pain killers for some reason. Have courage today, and lot’s of luv to you and your family.

Hi, Grog, cleo & bunnyface! Sorry I’m not too yappy right now. I’m still swamped with estate stuff. Saturday I spent cleaning out her house, and finished that. Whew! But I have to go in today to do a final walk-through with the buyers and explain/show how some things work. Tomorrow is the closing. Then there is school, laundry, writing checks, etc. to take my time.

Cleo - Sorry you’re having bad weather. We’re supposed to have good weather here until Friday - maybe up in the 80’s! Whoo-hoo!! (A couple of windy days, but as long as it isn’t stormy, that’s okay.)

Rmom, our weather was wicked when we got up, but hasn’t rained since, even got our bike ride in. Wow possibilities for 80 degree weather, I’d be Whoo-hooing too.

It is only supposed to reach 70F today, but it is a clear day, and a light breeze. Tomorrow, still nicer - 76F. The 80’s are expected on the windy days, so won’t feel quite as nice, but I’ll take 80F at 30mph winds over 10F at the same speed any day!

Rmom, our forecasts sound very similar.

I am thrilled if it gets up to 60F at this time of year. It is 46F now.

Grog - I’m surprised you haven’t already experienced 80 degree weather this year. I do know that tornado alley does get similar weather patterns, so that would explain our forecasts.

It used to be that way for me, too, cleo. But where I am I expect 70’s and am very disappointed if I don’t get them.

KS gets both extremes - hot & cold, dry & wet. Cleo, when we’re experiencing 100+F temps, you’ll be glad to be 30 degrees cooler than us.

Rmom, it has been unseasonably cool so far. We got into the upper 70’s a couple of times, but we’ve been eeking out lower 70’s if not upper 60’s

We’re expecting high 70’s low 80’s Friday on for a few days!

We usually get some 70’s during Jan. or Feb., but not this year. I think we finally got up to 70 the other week, so it has been cooler than normal here, too.

When I went to bed last night, I could hear rain softly hitting the skylight above me. Later in the morning, everyone was telling me that it was raining like crazy, I never heard it.

JFri you must have gotten the same storm we did last night. On our bike ride this morning there were small fir branches all over the roadway and one big branch which had been carted off the road.

cleo, we did have that big wind, too! We were camping at the beach over the weekend and thought we were going to blow away Saturday night!

Today and tomorrow in the 60sF, then about 50 for the high the next three days–until they change it. But still a nice change. There won’t be too much snow left, even in the piles, by the Triduum. But no outside fire again this year… :-(

Chores, chores and more chores today. Laundry, breadmaking, vacuuming, man I would make someone a good wife, except I am a guy. I guess that I am what you would call a house husband. A reluctant one. LOL

I’ve known a few dog owners who have had to do the same. In time, they are looking for a new friend, but they never did choose the same breed. One of my friends went from owning a doberman to a rottweiler.

I would have no problems with getting another Lab and it or a retriever are the perfect dogs for the lake. You should see all of the Labs and Retrievers on this lake. LOL

I like Labs. At a very young age, we had a Collie named Jerry. My parents ended up sending it to the farm. They said because they were afraid that with it’s playfullness that it could break my glasses. Though I think it was because I developed allergies. It’s particularly bad with cats though.

Allergies kind of negate the fun of having a pet alright.

Cleo & Grog–She had the heart test today and we should know something in the morning. She started getting the severe heartburn and chest pains again last night and it kept up until late this morning. I get so aggravated because they are hesitant to say anything of what they are thinking due to the fact that people always want to sue if the doctors or nurses say something wrong.
