One part is Journals not sure I should include GC or BT. Found out I cannot use my time at fair since insturctor needs a form filled out. This might be okay since I have not told mom, who won’t anything of this she stays in her own world or sister since she and hubby would have to sign form for acknowledment of working.

@Rmom, you know, having children is an inherited genetic characteristic.

If your parents didn’t have any children, it’s quite likely that you won’t either.

bmonk - I’ve also heard insanity is inherited, you get it from your children. However, my mom said (when I was still single) that either I’d marry someone crazy, or make them that way. So, either way you look at it, my hubby’s crazy. (Our kids are doomed - whether it is environment or genetic, they can’t help but be a bit crazy.)

Yes, but in our family, the insanity goes both up and down the genetic chain–and the reverberations can be quite large…

Sojo - I promised to take my son clothes shopping this afternoon. Also need to pick up some groceries, so I’ll be scarce later. Now that he’s attending college, he decided he wants a 3rd pair of pants. (He has two he wears most of the time away from home - one for hot weather, the other for cool.) I hesitate to buy my guys clothes without their approval, or else it just hangs in the closet.

Rmom - Getting somehing that won’t be used is just a waste. :-)

Sojo - I know! They all love to wear the same clothes over and over again. I just wish I knew which ones they would be when I buy them, so I could buy several at the same time. If you ever see elastic 34” waist cargo shorts - at or below knee length, please let me know! That’s what the oldest wants, but it seems impossible to find any. If I wasn’t trying to get ready to move, I’d get a pattern and sew him some. But I need to spend my time on other things.

I just have to come on long enough to tell you we had our annual summer get-together at the office. We had games like Dizzy Izzy, 3-legged race, egg toss, etc. I couldn’t participate in everything because of my knee and ankle, but I did keep score. When it was said and done my team, ‘Athlete’s Fleet’ won over ‘Prune Juice and Red Bull’. When we were finished the Low Country Boil was done. Yummy, shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. Two helpings later the mosquitoes were coming for their dinner so I thanked those who planned it and toddled on home. The Season Finale of Warehouse 13 is on now.

My son has his algebra class tomorrow, and he’s got some more reading to do, but his class isn’t until 4pm. Do you know of a good website that teaches a beginner how to use a graphing calculator? His professor doesn’t explain which buttons he pushes to get the answers. I’ve never used one. My older son used one for his Trig class, but promptly forgot everything he learned as soon as the class was over.

If you are driving at 45 miles per hour, and your ex is walking at 6 miles per hour how far will he go when you hit him with the car before he lands?

Rmom, didn’t the calculator come with a destruction book? It should tell him how to use it. Otherwise I would search the brand and model calculator online. Often companies make the destructions available online and you can print them out or just have them on the computer.

What exactly happened to Emitt.

I don’t know, do they knowingly let people come back to comment after they have been whatever? It would be nice if we knew. I hope he at least knows we miss him. Maybe He could comment on someone’s photobucket album. I know he was friends with Grog and Yyyguy I miss the days they sent the message directly to us.

Math and me just don’t agree that much. It’s my worse subject.

But I have to take it because it is a requirement.

Same here! He’s taking College Algebra because it is required. I’ve never enjoyed math either, thankfully, I was a reasonably good student anyway. Of course, if I realized I’d end up homeschooling my kids, I think I would have taken more advanced math than I did.

I was banned from here once, and the only reason why I got to come back was because I wrote a letter of apology to the staff. So I know that they are reasonable.

I liked algebra and geometry, until they started teaching stuff like sine and cosine (shoot I can’t even remember how to spell them). No one should have to learn that unless they will actually use it. Our teacher did not like it when we would ask how we would use the math in the real world.

I suppose if I increased the speed to seventy and he was walking near a cliff and I atttached one of those V-shaped things that extended past the edge of the car that they use to push snow out of the way, it wouldn’t matter how much anything weighed in the end.

Luv - You did spell them correctly! I learned that only because I had to teach it to my youngest. My hubby does use some of the higher math in his engineering work, but if someone isn’t going into engineering or similar work, I can’t understand why it is required.

For this class on-line there’s a discussion board, also required community service and I thought how would I do that. I know several places like volunteers only need 5 hours. Church for next month, I think this will work, will have Autumn bash day before Halloween.

I think book was called Amela Beduela(sp) she worked as a maid for a rich banker, not sure of that part. Sojo, with my laptop. I have a wooden cutting board I put under it. It hasn’t overheated yet. I think the main thing is to make sure the vents don’t get covered. I was looking at those lap desks. It would be nice but they sure charge more than they should.

LuvH8 - I ordered one on special price, just over $20. It’s coming by USPS. Should be wide enough with this laptop to use a regualer mouse if I want to. I think it’s non-sliip so it should make it easy to use. Thougt of a cutting board but then saw this deal.

I have the laptop set up to hybernate when it’s on battery and the lid is shut. When powered back on I’m still logged on so that makes it easy to move as it’s connected to the internet wireless.
