MEN, never let the other half know you can cook anything but chili and toast ( or in my case, baloney soup). Last night I made the fatal error of deciding the summer’s bounty should not go to waste. Tons of tomatoes, peppers, onions. a side of beef, a whole bulb of garlic latter I had a lobster pot of spaghetti sauce. Mistakes were made.

Never let a woman know you can cook Never leave the kitchen cleaner than you found it. Never use your Beetle and Stones 33rpm collection as weight to keep the raccoons out of your food cooling on the porch. Always remember to ask where the fire extinguisher, smoke detector, mop, or shop vacuum are when cooking. Never admit you can cook anything but chili or toast!

Spend an ungodly amount of time at the plasma center today. I gave them my new drug two weeks ago. Yesterday I had a follow up appointment with my doctor to make sure everything was getting better (coming off coreg) and the fluid was exiting stage south. So when it came to the ‘recently seen a doctor’ I, fool that I am, said yes, and explained it was just a follow up from the last visit. Just yack yack and drew blood for some tests. I had to wait for the nurse to clear it ‘officially’. An hour later I’m still cooling my heels waiting for the nurse, so I step up to the window and politely advise I’ve been waiting an hour, what’s up? One of the screeners came out with my chart and wanted my new drug. I gave it to ‘em last week. They DIDN’T have my chart updated!!!! And I mean not just the new one, but several changes back too. I had the spelling of the drug in my appointment book and eventually got to donate. But that delay meant I was gone from 10am until nearly 2pm. That’s a huge chunk of my day!!!

So I’m thinking soothing thoughts and frying chicken and ‘taters for supper. I’ll wheel some into the BT around dinner time. Let you know.

Meantime, enjoy the beautiful weather!!

Wichita got some great news though half I feel is blackmail or threat. Hawker Beechcraft CEO’s, union met with Governor of KS. Worked at a deal after 3 hours of talk. Hawker will stay in KS I guess Governor worked at a deal with them. The rub is union reps who they work out future deals make or break where Hawker Beechcraft moves.

I like a small opinion poll. Something everyone faces by sound or sight and to by sports. Subliminal messages to get people to buy. Those types of messages, face it even Doctor Toon’s job at grocer’s stores like Walmat, Dillions, etc has this by displays reaching out to customers. Does subliminal messages affect you? As for myself I have to be careful money is a major factor. CC is another factor getting it paid off.

I thought we aren’t supposed to be conciously aware of subliminal messages and that they were not allowed anymore? But it has been many many years.

I do know that the power of suggestion can be fairly strong on me both verbally and visually with some things like: itchies, chocolate, salt, cigawrecks, junk food when I am hungry, those little bright colored sale tags.

For us here BD in Sept. I am not too worried about not passing. I am keeping the tests so I can use this, hope they don’t change the book. I hope to take English. We have discussion board if one calls it that. The Sojourner I already used that and I’m keeping what I wrote, I hope to add to this. I have to give major credit for helping on sentences to a very nice lady Rmom. I write up and change sentences structure she checks see what needs changed. Sometimes though I like somehow to pay her for all the help. I even tell her I can’t thank her enough.
