Good morning, Tribeandall…..still haven’t recovered from that long drive from San Diego. That was one long trip. Ran into heavy snow from Pocatello all the way to southern Montana. Sooooo glad to be home!
Today is my kick back day. Yesterday was spent in the hospital for upper and lower GI scopes. Goody! So, today I can really rest.
Good morning all. Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. I just used some of our leftover turkey and some shrimp to make gumbo. Gumbo is comfort food for me.
I see breakfast is still on the server, but it’s late, so I’ll just have some Nuclear Coffee–and it will come to the cup itself.

Hi, everyone!
We made it safely to & from OKC without any difficulties. I was concerned because the tires on the trailer are more than 15 years old. Lots of wrecks though, we went by one shortly after the first cop arrived on the scene. The car did a 180 and hit the Jersey barrier on I-40. I saw the cop opening the door, just as we were driving slowly past. I’m positive the driver was seriously injured by the position and look on his face.
We were pleasantly surprised that the guy paid us 3 times as much as we asked for the trailer. Not too often that happens! But after he inspected it, I guess he found enough things salvageable that will make him a profit.
Hi again Grog and ♠Lonewolf♠ - Have figured out a lot of how to use my smart phone. Am going to try software to shut off my computer at night after I go to sleep. I’ve been leaving it on at night watching TV . In the morning it locks up and I have to force it off with the power switch. My cousin told me it was probably the memory being filled. I was using a nice screen saver display I liked and he said those don’t always release their memory. I stopped using it and has helped a lot but not fixed everything. This programe will force close all programs first (even gadgets) then shut off Windows. Hopefully shuting it down at night instead of waiting until morning will fix everthing.
Sojo, I am a firm believer in shutting down the computers before I go to bed. I have forgot to shut down this laptop at night and it is fine in the morning, but most of my previous computers reacted the same way yours does. It made it work much better once I started shutting them down at night.
I always shut down my computer at home, Sojourner. At the office I won’t shutdown until Friday (it takes too long to power up, log in etc., etc). But I will shut down all internet applications and close most of the files I’m working on. It’s made things run much smoother there….but we’re still victims of our network issues.
Thanks for the info. It helps me to have someting on to fall asleep (and having some light even though I wear that thing over my eyes to block out light). If I stay up until a litle after turnover I have no problem shuting it down. I’m hoping I can let it run a couple hours more. If that doesn’t work I’ll have to shut it down after turnover although if I fall asleep first that won’t help. LOL I used to reboot my desktop every day when I needed to have to leave it on all the time. I hope this program solves everthing then I won’t have to worry about falling asleep etc.
LuvH8 - It’s an Android by Huawei (Ascend M860) for Cricket. A cheap phone but has all features. As new and better phones are coming out all the time and Cricket may go from a 3G to 4G I may upgrade later but this will last a while. Cricket is about 1/2 to 1/3 the monthly rate which adds up after a while.
Oh well….. unfortunately I didn’t have a choice in providers. At least if we wanted to be able to use our cell phones. We were also very limited on internet options.
Have you tried watching the youtube videos on your phone?
I haven’t tried youtube yet although it came with that app already on it. I have the wireless net on all the time and have no problem with battery life. I did figure out how to trasfer a ring tone from my old phone to this. You can make any sound file from music to something you record with your voice into a ring tone.
Oh, sorry. I meant the youtube videos about your phone. I guess they make a lot of those type things. When I googled your phone two popped up. I thought you might see if any are helpful.
I’m watching a movie on TCM they are calling a musical, however, there hasn’t been a whole lot of music yet. I think I saw it last year around this time I think. It was good! It’s called It Happened on 5th Avenue
Soujourner, the release date shown for this movie is 1947. I just think they’ve categorized it wrong. It’s one of those feel-good comedies that’s probably perfect for the Holiday season.
Grog - Categorizing it wrong makes sense. I was sort of (although not too good) making a joke against post-modern ideas. I’ll see if that’s a movie I can check out of the libary or find somewhere else. Sounds interesting. :-)
Grog I like the older movies especially the Christmas ones. We watched the Cold Miner’s Daughter along with the Bulls game earlier, Lonewolf I hope Boozer comes along better over the next month from his injury.

Blackhawks play hockey like the Penguins? Do I want to know how my team is doing? I don’t want enough time to get bored with the sport.

Hi, LuvH8.

Sojo, what kind of smart phone do you have? Why do they call them smart phones? Does it fly really good?
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Hi LuvH8.
I hope you saw the links I left for you.
George Arnold almost 14 years ago
Thanks for the info. It helps me to have someting on to fall asleep (and having some light even though I wear that thing over my eyes to block out light). If I stay up until a litle after turnover I have no problem shuting it down. I’m hoping I can let it run a couple hours more. If that doesn’t work I’ll have to shut it down after turnover although if I fall asleep first that won’t help. LOL I used to reboot my desktop every day when I needed to have to leave it on all the time. I hope this program solves everthing then I won’t have to worry about falling asleep etc.

I liked the links, I did a Happy Dance!
I don’t think I would be laughing at death in a hoodie, but maybe he could have worn a pair of pants or different robe. Hmmm……
Hello Lonewolf, Grog and Sojo

LuvH8 - It’s an Android by Huawei (Ascend M860) for Cricket. A cheap phone but has all features. As new and better phones are coming out all the time and Cricket may go from a 3G to 4G I may upgrade later but this will last a while. Cricket is about 1/2 to 1/3 the monthly rate which adds up after a while.

I have to admit I felt like watching it fly a couple of times while figuring out some of the things about it! :-)

Do you think the insurance on Fiend covers crash landings?
George Arnold almost 14 years ago
It might, I don’t know. I didn’t get insurance as I could buy a new phone in less then two years of insurance.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Oh well….. unfortunately I didn’t have a choice in providers. At least if we wanted to be able to use our cell phones. We were also very limited on internet options.
Have you tried watching the youtube videos on your phone?
George Arnold almost 14 years ago

George Arnold almost 14 years ago
Thanks LuvH8 - I’ll look at them this weekend.
A musical with out music? TCM doesn’t show post-modern movies do they?
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
I think I’m going to have to add it to my collection.
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Soujourner, the release date shown for this movie is 1947. I just think they’ve categorized it wrong. It’s one of those feel-good comedies that’s probably perfect for the Holiday season.
George Arnold almost 14 years ago
Grog - Categorizing it wrong makes sense. I was sort of (although not too good) making a joke against post-modern ideas. I’ll see if that’s a movie I can check out of the libary or find somewhere else. Sounds interesting. :-)

I think you’ll like it, Sojourner, if you like classic movies.
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
A Christmas Carol. I guess that’s why it’s called a musical…..but it’s not!
hopeandjoy2 almost 14 years ago
Grog I like the older movies especially the Christmas ones. We watched the Cold Miner’s Daughter along with the Bulls game earlier, Lonewolf I hope Boozer comes along better over the next month from his injury.

HopeandJoy, I recommend this one, if you can find it. I’m starting to love it!
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
I hope I can find it at Amazon.com or the TCM Vault.
hopeandjoy2 almost 14 years ago
The rocking table bit was funny, Grog Of course, I started watching it a little late. Good cast.
hopeandjoy2 almost 14 years ago
I found it on Amazon from one of the dealers…same cast.
COWBOY7 almost 14 years ago
Hi, HopeandJoy. In these two games Boozer has played, the Bulls have been beat pretty bad.
hopeandjoy2 almost 14 years ago
Lonewolf I KNOW! I still think he can help when he gets going. The announcers are saying he has to come on slowly??????? I hope he can help.
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Well the movie’s over and I have a case of the yawns.
I don’t think I’ll be up for turnover this time.
Gunite, Tribeandall!
