Hey all I will admit I didn’t watch a lot of Elizabeth Taylor’s movies. I though am surprise as was mentioned about William Shatner now 80. My does time fly. Jerry Lewis look at his age 85 I believe. Since hubby isn’t here what about martial arts expert Chuck Norris I believe 70 now. I went through a brain freeze reason I brought hubby I was going to ask him the name of Chuck Norris. Zaza Gabore(sorry I know I have her name wrong) is 90 and not doing great in health either.

I didn’t realize Chuck Norris was so old. I knew Shatner was. I’m not sure but I think his first television appearance was in The Twilight Zone. he was also born in Montreal. He and My father went to separate schools together.

Hello Rmom - Ran an errand today, nice but windy.

Sojo - I got as far as the garage. I rigged up a leather strap in the shape of a figure 8 to put around the hose & metal pipe to keep them separated on my PT. I’m hoping it takes care of that problem. It seems like all my appliances are breaking. Now my oven isn’t heating. At least I had noticed that the element wasn’t heating up evenly earlier, so it should be an easy fix compared to some of the others.

♥Kab♥ - I hope you enjoy your reading.

Rmom - When it rainsit pours! Hope your PT fix works and the oven is an easy fix. Maybe that will take care of things for awhile.

Sojo - Did you happen to see the truck & grass fire by Towne West today? I don’t know how much grass got burnt, but the truck was totaled.

Hi, Kab! - I did treat myself to a day out yesterday. I took care of several errands & shopping stops, but did several of them with a friend, and we ate lunch together. We even went to the new Jo-Ann Fabrics store, and just drooled over patterns, fabric, etc. It is so nice to have a friend who knows how to sew too, so we could chat about that. Helps to fill in the loss my mom left. Sojo - Next thing will probably be the microwave, as it is older than all the others were. At least that I know better than to try to repair, so it will just be a matter of $$.

Rmom - I didn’t know anything about the truck fire. I saw most of the 5:00 news and they didn’t mention it. A few years ago there was a pick-up in the parking lot of Sam’s that was fully involved in fire as I came out of the store. The fire truck was just arriving. There were several cans of something in it that exploded before the fire was put out.

Sojo - All I know is what I read on-line. It has been a busy week for the 9-1-1 department. Mailbox exploded up near 37th & Woodlawn, several car wrecks, grass fires… I see my sheriff is stepping down immediately due to health, so I hope the undersheriff is competent. I will say I’ve had no complaints about the BU SO, but at least I haven’t had much reason to be in contact with them, either.

Rmom - I did hear sirens while I was out, may of been to Town West. I can get the Fire Dept. on my smart phone but it uses the battery up unless it’s charging so if I listen to that it’s usually at night when I have it pluged in. I’d like to get a scanner I could have on all the time and also listen to Fire and EMS. (I was a volunteer for Wichita Sedgwick Co. Fire Dept. for 10 years and worked for Wichita Seg. Co. EMS for 2 years.)

Sojo - I was wishing I had a phone with a data plan yesterday, so I could check on the weather. Especially when this morning I discovered there was a tornado watch yesterday afternoon/evening for home, but I didn’t find out about it until this morning.

Seemingly by a pretty wide margin, ♠Lonewolf♠. I thought I posted well after you did. And I ended up ahead of both you and Rmom.

Rmom - I have Cricket because I have good reception where I am, it’s unlimited and cheap - about half or less than the other cariiers. I don’t know if it covers where you are though.

Sojo - I guess you can tell the different sounds for the various emergency vehicles. I would think you’d hear so many sirens, that it would get tiresome listening to them all day.

Rmom - Things have changed a lot since I was involved with emergency services I don’t always know now. Once when working with EMS I got to drive a test vehical one shift the County was thinking of switching to. It was equiped with all the extras of course. It had several diferent types of sirens and an air horn that could all be controled by the driver on the steering wheel (usually the person not driving controled that). It was a lot of fun to drive.

Is that leapfrog animation working for you? It did on photobucket, but doesn’t look like it is for me. Same son upgraded my internet browsers too, so it might be a conflict there.

Rmom - It works when I refresh but only goes through one time. It may not be set to repeat?

Wolfie - We’ve been having a bit of trouble with leapfrogging comments, but of course, it is worse when we’re all on at the same time.

Rmom - I’ve copied it and will check it out on my end but it may be awhile as there are several other things I need to get done soon.

Sojo - Thanks. No hurry. He gave it to me a few days ago, and I was saving it for the right moment. I don’t think Cricket will give me much coverage out where I live and on the route to SE KS. Of course, there are some dead spots where there doesn’t seem to be any cell phone coverage on that route, but at least with either Verison & AT&T we can get a signal in the towns we do more than just drive through. At least my hubby told me tonight that he’s leaning toward staying with AT&T after looking at the phones available for them & Verizon. I’m glad, because that means I can pick out a new phone that all the features I want will work on. When he buys them on eBay, that isn’t always the case.

And now I return back to my studies.

Rmom - Most phones (except for certain frequency cases) can work with different carriers but if the phone wasn’t made for a certain carrier all the features that company has may not work.

Rmom - I wasn’t sure if IE9 (what I think were both using) was the problem with the animation since it doesn’t refresh when you post a comment. I tried another animation on another day of BT and it worked okay.

I have an Android with all the apps. Wouldn’t give it up for anything now.

Sojo & Rmom. I am on Firefox and also have IE and it doesn’t do the animation for me either.

♠Lonewolf♠ - I have an Android also. Wasn’t sure if it would be worth it but now that I have it I like it better than I thought it would be. Same feeling. See here for worst apps.

Okay, thanks for the input. I’ll ask my geek to see if he can figure out the glitch. Sojo - Problem is, even if a phone is set for AT&T, it can be an older edition of that model, or else certain things are disabled. The phones he bought me are supposed to work on AT&T, but wouldn’t download a ringtone or be able to get the internet added.

Your leap frog is cute, but yes it only leaps once. I opened it as it’s own page to watch it. Make him fix it or no clean socks.

Oooops! - LOL! I already spoke to him about it, and he promised to fix it within the next few days. Since the original gif wasn’t an assignment, but just something he did because he wanted to, I think he’ll take care of it without nagging.

My internet is being slow as molasses tonight, and both boys are watching a DVD on the TV, so they’re not hogging the bandwidth. Time for me to wrap up things and get to bed anyway. I’ll probably head over to my hubby’s tomorrow. He had to work last weekend, and this one looks likely. The poor guy needs clean clothes and some other supplies.
