I was scared. After a very long absence I returned yestedayr to fin no comments in Big Top. I admit it was 3;30 AM but I was hungry. I didn’t know if the CIA or Martians had infiltrated Big Top. So I returned to a horizontal position with my cat and woke to fing Citizen Grog had made the best meal ever (sorry Arlo). So after some assorted pancakes and assorted ice cream, I will return to bed happy until I go to the dentist. If virtual breakfast hass no calories, how does it cause cavities.Good to be back.

Good morning everyone. Wink needs to start peddling first. here in ICT west side north of my location 2,200 customer’s and business lost power. Some just flickered and came back on others out until mid morning, not great in this heat. Westar Engery claimed a power surge.

The Sojourner that is what my mom said at 10:10pm about her power. She has a very old house with no c/a has a window unit does not reach in the br. We do not have enough room to bring her here to sleep and be a little cooler. We at my location did not suffer any power loss. Westar stated transformers blew from too much usage.

Well, we had our excitement for the year……………..we had a wildfire burn to within 5 miles of our house. It is called the Corral Fire, north west of Helena. They did an excellent job of containing it. It is still burning, but in the heavily forested part west of us. You could see the flames all night long. We even packed up the car in case we had to evacuate. Thank God the worst is over!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update on the fire……….

the winds have kicked up again with a vengeance!!! All those hot spots that rested during the night are now up and flaring again! Keep us in mind, please!

Montana Lady – You are in my prayers about this!

Fire update…………..They have it 20% contained at 1:00 p.m. but, I think it is spreading eastward into the Helena Valley. We can see from our house where the smoke is, and it is really scary! 1400 acres have burned. Four homes have burned. 200 more have been evacuated. There are 4 helicopters and a P-2 water bomber working the fire. But these winds just kill any hope of a quick resolution!

Hey there kids. I’d say good afternoon, but WOW!! Montana Lady I hope they get it under control and the winds die down soon. How scary for you! Please keep us updated if you can. Our thoughts and hopes for the best are with you.

Hi kids! Very late in the afternoon and my WeatherBug still says it’s 102 d. F. out there. Whew, summer is here with a vengeance in H-Town and all the way up into the Dakotas.

No real update on the fire………..it has burned down into the Helena Valley, but that part has been contained quickly. It’s the mountainous area that is still wild. So far, it’s still sitting about 5 miles south of us.

Good evening or night all. Montana Lady & Mountain Man we’ve been watching on the news about the fire. I did not realize was getting that close to you. Stay safe.
