Doctor Toon sorry how you felt. For my 50th six-years-ago, I do not even recall anything big as a party. One of our church members direct’s chior the ones there did dress in black as a joke and the Pastor wondered what was going on. He said his birthday so congregation sang to him and he went with it.

When my mom’s BD comes around in the spring during tax time she gets very upset. She turns 88 next years.
