I have a feeling this is going to be putting people off eating for days to come. Nevertheless, I will post a menu for those with stomach’s of steel.

    Good Morning/Afternoon, Tribesters,

Since it’s so late, I’ll just have a fresh peach, thank you, Grog.

Did any of you stay up to watch the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower last night? We stopped counting at 29 meteors in about an hour. You should still be able to sit out for the next two weeks and still see lots of them. Just sit back, and look towards the Big Dipper and surrounding sky and you’ll see plenty!

I picked our first zucchini this morning. Guess I’ll make a stir fry with shrimp and chicken. Dinner’s around 6:30, so stop on by.

I just got back from some errands. I was going down the sidewalk and beside me were two rows of old ceder trees for about 1/2 mile. They were cutting down one row and it smelled great!

I’ve been watching some of the Ginger Roger marathon on TCM. I’m more partial to the films she doesn’t dance in, so I won’t be sticking with it tonight as they’ll all be with Fred Astaire.

There’s a new over-the-air station here that shows older shows like Dennis the Menace, Leave it to Beaver, Dragnet, etc. On Sunday night they show News Radio. WKRP (4 episodes) and Soap. I’ll have to watch some of those.

WGN used to show Newhart (with LD&D) on Sunday nights. I loved it – especially since you can’t get more than the first season of that series on DVD.

Hi yyyguy – I don’t know. It would sure be nice if it did have the original soundtrack. If that costs more though it probably dosn’t. (We had one TV station that showed The Andy Griffith Show without the the original begining and ending music because it cost more – royalties for that were extra.)

SOJO you must be talking about ANTENNA TV, at least that is what it is called here. Watched some “Leave To Beavers” and “Andy Griffith” this afternoon. And yes, been watching “WKRP” as well, but sadly, still no original soundtrack, which REALLY DOES TAKE AWAY from the episodes, especially the one with LITTLE ARTHUR and the ORIGINAL music from PATTON!They also keep advertising all these old shows that ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ON but get pre-empted for local programming.

Hi Dry – That’s what I’m watching, ANTENNA TV. The WKRP show I just saw was one I hadn’t watched before and I thought I had watched them all.

Grog – That’s right but I was thinking about the royalties causing the problem. When they made WKRP they weren’t thinking of re-runs and didn’t put anything in the contract about them.

Dry – I remember watching the shows on TV as they came out. A lot were really good but I think the one with the turkeys thrown out of a helicopter was my favorite.

Sojo, Abosolutely. There were a few others, but that ONE was ROFLAO to this day, no matter how many times I see it, just like the old “I Love Lucy” episode with William Holden. To this day, as many times as I have seen them both, I still laugh so hard my sides ache, and the tears roll down my cheeks.
