They didn’t have OSHA back then so this stripdoesn’t really make sense. Then again it’s justa comic strip.
They should also have steel-toed boots, too. Sandals are no place for an invasion.

I think they should also make sure he isn’t bringing in any outside food.
Just wait until the inspector discovers that they are all carrying pointy, very sharp tools—without suitable guards covering them, and without proper warning labels!!!!
BTW: Breastplate on the left soldier has a nice face.
