There was an artist commissioned to do a painting of Custer’s last stand. After weeks of work, he unveiled a painting of a cow with a halo, a bunch of natives picking cotton, and a big question mark. When asked what it was supposed to represent, the artist replied “It’s based on what I felt was going though Custer’s mind during the battle” Holy Cow! Where did all those cotton-pickin’ Indians come from?"
