    No really, the burning of any book is not good as it removes information from the public view. Remainders also allow for those with less money to buy this information more readily.

    remainders are books that are going back to the publisher. They can be bought much cheaper, thank heavens. Have gotten some great books this way. Some net book site have remainders that are really cheap.

    Thanks for the information. I can’t remember ever coming across that use of the word before. I’ll also have to look for those websites sometime, though I usually get anything I want from our library system or buy them used on the internet.

    I thought remainders were what was left over from division problems before learning to do decimals.
