No, no, that’s the bill we’re already paying for the health care we currently receive.

“We have to pass this bill so we can see what’s in it”. They don’t even know what’s in it and once it’s pass…, we’re screwed!

@cdward, individual insurance (not HMO) plus full HSA funding costs as much as an economy car. Family insurance plus full HSA funding costs as much as a luxury car. If you buy and operate a car, but don’t have health insurance, you simply have bad priorities. (And getting rid of a car has many secondary health benefits.)

Those poor enough that they can’t afford cars or luxuries, are already covered by Medicaid and ER (Obamacare actually reduces this care). You could argue that we should provide more free preventative services like immunizations (e.g. free insulin for poor diabetics). But Obamacare actually phases out the ability of the middle class to pay for they own health insurance (HSA) in 5 years. That leaves us (middle class) with a choice of corporate or “public” HMOs - i.e. socialized medicine. We will no longer be able to make our own medical decisions.

The whole point of Obamacare seems to be less about helping the poor, than destroying the middle class. You can be sure Fat Cats like Obama will not use the “public option”.

Who agreed to this whole “taxation with representation” thing, anyway?
