Ever been around kids who have NEVER had a slap on the tush?They are dreadful, bratty, horrid brats. Not to their parents who think the kids hung the moon, but to everyone else the race to be first to leave ground zero is astonishing!

The lesson in these comments: Don’t have kids.

Spare the rod and spoil the child. Words to live by. That’s how I was raised. Never did me any harm.

Time to clean the guns.

What amazes me is that I have no idea what the kid in this comic is talking about, and it seems I might be the only one. ?!

I obviously stepped off the clue bus somewhere as I had no idea what it was even talking about until I looked it up.

That is exactly how I took it, Udon = Noodle. Smack upside the noodle = very funny. Maybe afficionado couldn’t get pasta meaning of the words.

Mom was the sheriff, prosecutor and judge. Dad was the executioner. I got a shot of the belt so often, Dad took to hitting a box with the understanding that I would scream bloody murder to satisfy the judge, etal.

I didn’t get it because I didn’t know what spelt is. Now I do.and now I get it.

All of this over a piece of spaghetti? Wow

What does this mean?: “Spelt udon or no undon” Is it a spelling joke, a spilling joke, a joke?I know udon is a type of noodle.

No udon works for me

Not one of Bliss’s best comics. I thought the kid was arguing about the spelling (“spelt udon”)…thanx for those who explained it.
