Odd to have a nemesis be a best friend.

This reminds me of Snickers, our 24 year-old cat. She lays out there Sphinx-style on a table on our back porch and stares intently at the back door until her force of will opens the door.That’s probably her take on it; mine is that I just have to open the door and let her in.

My Mediterranean Tortoise, when he’s impatient to be fed, rams the wall of his enclosure. Again and again. Noisily. Until I get up and prepare his mixture of grasses, flowers, mushrooms, a smattering of vitamin enriched commercial tortoise food, and less than a smattering of veggies for flavor.

Yes, I am enslaved by a small reptile.

Kibble or canned, NAW, Liam go makes us a sammich.

What no table scraps ?

Such a good looking dog.

Dogs stare with hope in their eyes and joy in their hearts. Cats… well, they just stare with “You should know exactly what I want” disdain.

At one time I had 3 dogs, all less than 15 pounds. You want to see there inner wolf; give them some raw meat with lots of blood. They will defend their bowls like a starving wolf that found a frozen caribou carcass.

Somebody needs to get out more.
