This is just silly — how could you get the sofa too small and the chair too big with the same measuring tape? Also why would a furniture company even make furniture the wrong size? I can see making a tiny sofa for a dog or cat bed, but the big chair, nuh uh,* The fantasy world of comics has to have some kind of internal logic.
*Unless you are building giant Adirondack chairs for the “beach” in front of Parrish Hall at Swarthmore College (https://swarthmorerapport.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/photo.jpeg)
I see this is another of those Bliss/Martin collaborations.
We bought an undercounter microwave-vent hood but it was out of stock. We picked it ‘cause it was on sale and during a tax free day. It didn’t look that big in the store display, Our old microwave would fit inside
On one of my moves, I laid out a “map” of the furniture locations in the new house using a CAD program. Unfortunately, I had somehow failed to measure that the bottom floor was 1/3 smaller than the upper floor. I discovered this after the movers left most of my furniture in the downstairs locations. I sprained my wrists dragging furniture up the stairs on a tarpaulin.
You know what they say, “Measure twice, CAD once.” :)
