I took this to mean that dogs had canceled him because he is friends with cats.

It was done on a veterinary visit.

Cancelled? What, for playing cat clubs? The other dogs would do that to him, wouldn’t they?

There’s lots of dog headshots on the wall. Cats go to see dogs do stand-up. So why cancelled?

By whom? For what? There’s more to this than meets the eye.
