I recently took my dog outside on the long leash. I stand on the porch; she goes on the lawn. There were 4 squirrels playing across the street. Dog stayed on the porch until I gave her a gentle push and said I would protect her.

Groundhogs are very feisty. I remember our German Shepherds battling them when I was a kid. The dogs most always won but boy they were a bloody mess.
