Happy Grandparents Day!
by Reed JacksonGrandparents are known for spoiling their grandchildren with piggy back rides, dessert before dinner and, generally, doing everything in their power to provide a smile. Personally, my special memories include my Grandma teaching me how to cook - sharing all of her secret recipes - and playing baseball with my Grandpa in the backyard (getting away with way more "home runs" than I should've).
As our biggest supporters, grandparents hate to miss any milestone. There is no achievement too small to merit a visit from Grandma and Grandpa.
Always proud of you, grandparents love to show you off, jumping at any chance to pull out the photo albums.
They've passed on their genes, meaning many of your best qualities, like your sense of humor, came straight from them.
Grandparents make the world's best cheerleaders. Whether you're the top scorer or just the best benchwarmer, you're an all-star in their eyes.
They can't help but spoil you - it's part of the grandparent DNA.
Spoil you as they may, they'll never spoil you rotten. You can always count on Grandma and Grandpa to teach you a lesson.
Even after they are gone, the lessons they've taught and love they've given stay with us forever.
Grandparents Day may only come once a year, but our grandparents celebrate us every day! Make sure today is as special as they are!
