Jurassic Jokes on GoComics
by Reed JacksonIn 1993, Steven Spielberg's award-winning blockbuster, Jurassic Park, famed for its anything-but-prehistoric special effects, took a T-Rex-sized bite out of movie box offices. Jurassic Park and the two films that follow it in the series tell the story of a theme park featuring live, cloned dinosaurs and everything that inevitably goes wrong with that. This Friday (June 12), however, is when everything changes"...
A day that has been long awaited by many Jurassic fans, Friday marks the release of Jurassic World, the fourth and latest installment in the film series. Taking place 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World showcases a now-fully functioning dinosaur theme park. In an attempt to recapture interest after a decline in visitor rates, a new attraction is created - a dinosaur they call "Indominus Rex," which, of course, backfires terribly (because it wouldn't be a Jurassic Park movie without action and peril)!
Jurassic World is shaping up to be the most thrilling and visually spectacular Jurassic movie yet, and because I'm way too excited about it to focus on anything else this week, I've scoured the GoComics universe in search of the best dinosaur-themed comics I could find, sure to leave you laughing and as excited for Jurassic World as I am!
After all, it's always funny to think about the vicious king of the dinosaurs "... with his teeny-tiny, little arms.
Then there's this relatable strip, showing exactly how I felt after every Jurassic movie:
"... And how I felt the first time someone told me dinosaurs still exist.
Nothing will ever beat Jurassic Park for me, but Jason's rendition is pretty hilarious.
There are endless dinosaur funnies on GoComics, but at the risk of excitement-induced implosion, I should probably stop myself here before I get too pumped up. Enjoy the movie, fellow Jurassic fans! I know I will!
