Bore No More. It's #AntiBoredomMonth.
by GoComics
For school-aged children, the onset of summer is usually accompanied by "complete and utter boredom."
Sleeping in, no schedule, sunny days by the pool - whomp whomp ...
Strategically so, somehow anti-boredom month arrives in July, the peak of summer vacation and the peak of boredom. We are prepared this time around. We're anti-boredom all the time around here, so let us share some ideas to make sure you, your children or your children's children can beat boredom. It's a generational investment, really.
1. IMAGINE
The swingset in your backyard becomes a space launch, a rollercoaster, a rescue mission or an Olympic event.
2. INNOVATE
Man's best friend becomes man's best entertainment with a little peanut butter. Try with smaller siblings for even more fun.
3. CREATE
Craft like crazy to keep boredom at bay. Make friendship bracelets, a new recipe, a scrapbook or paint a picture. If art isn't your thing, that's OK. Only art teachers can judge you, and THEY'RE NOT AROUND. Just call it "abstract."
4. SHHHHHHH
Stop complaining. Get creative. Have fun. The end.
Here's to the most successful anti-boredom month yet! Now, go read comics!
