The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is everywhere you look, and so too, is the continued need for his ideas and example. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, America honors the civil rights leader by reflecting the adversity he and all other African-Americans faced as they fought to end legalized segregation and wider racist government policies that prevailed at all levels of government. By his example, others continue to fight for a better world rooted in his dream of freedom and equality for all.
