Catch These Comics In Time For Super Bowl LI
by The GoComics TeamToday is the day. It's Super Bowl LI. And that's no l-i-e.
Blast these confounding Roman numerals! Why can't they just say 51?! Is it because this is the 50th anniversary of the first Super Bowl in 1967 and the NFL thinks people would be confused? I mean, they're right, but still.
The bigger issue is that the Patriots keep showing up to this thing. They're like the Yankees in the World Series anymore. Only the Yankees were never involved in a scandal involving deflating baseballs. Our understanding of baseball technology is that doing so would be very difficult. Don't the Yankees have enough resources to at least try?
Playing the Patriots are the Falcons, a team that's never won a Super Bowl. This makes them the underdog, and there is a philosophy in sports culture that every dog deserves a bowl.
No matter your pick to win this year's SB, there's one thing we can all agree on: comics about the Super Bowl are reliable and the quality of the game and its Lady Gaga-driven halftime show is in question (What was with her country album? Seriously!). Your safest bet today will be enjoying the selected comics below.
