Pat Oliphant Releases First New Cartoon Since 2015
by The GoComics TeamIt's not every day you get a new cartoon from Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist Pat Oliphant, so when you do, you spread the word.
The illustrious creator's last cartoon was published more than two years ago, on January 13, 2015, following more than 50 years of regular publication in newspapers, exhibits and online.
Oliphant's latest cartoon, as ever, draws on current events with a scathing eye and -- where hatching techniques are concerned -- a scratchy pen. His trademark cartoon commentator Punk the penguin has also made his return, though it's an uninvited pig who does the talking.
Will we see more new Oliphant material in the immediate future? As he's never officially retired or gone on a proper hiatus, only time will tell.
