You voted, we counted, and today Tank McNamara himself announced the winner of his self-named Sports Jerk of the Year 2016 Award.

Just as he dominated his opponents in the 2016 Olympic games, there was no contest as 12-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte lapped his competition to win.

We wish we could say it's an honor, but beating about a dozen other fan-nominated candidates isn't exactly the hallmark of an athlete's career.

But what can we say? When you and your allegedly drunk friends allegedly urinate outside an alleged public restroom at an alleged gas station in the alleged Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during the alleged Olympic Games, allegedly flee the country and allegedly fabricate a story on national television about being robbed at gunpoint by local police (impostors?), you've earned your spot at the top! Allegedly.

Though Lochte won by a wide margin, it's worth noting the second place winner is National Football League Commissioner Roger "Deflategate" Goodell. I'm sure he's... pumped.
