In 2008, Google launched its now-ubiquitous Chrome browser (I'm using it right now!). Unlike typical browsers, which hid behind a wall of sorcerer incantations, Google went through the trouble of hiring none other than Understanding Comics author Scott McCloud to adapt a 39-page comic explaining its internet-y inner-workings. It mostly succeeded, because I made it at least nine pages before passing out on my laptop!

Cartoonist R. Sikoroyak pushes the tech education approach to a new and even more lively extreme with Terms and Conditions, a 96-page odyssey through Apple's iTunes user agreement that pays tribute to a different iconic comic creator -- or creative team -- on each page. It's a veritable who's who of classic and contemporary creators including, of course, nearly a dozen GoComics cartoonists.

Sikoroyak massages Apple's legalese with his take on GC creators Tom Wilson (Ziggy), Lynn Johnston (For Better or For Worse), Burne Hogarth (12-year artist of Tarzan), Ernie Bushmiller (Nancy), Chester Gould (creator of Dick Tracy), Cathy Guisewite (Cathy), Jim Davis (Garfield), Winsor McCay (Little Nemo), Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes), Scott Adams (Dilbert), and Charles M. Schulz (Peanuts).

My non-GoComics creator favorite is the Akira Toriyama homage, which references to Goku's extra-gravity training in the Dragon Ball manga. In fact, I think I'll start doing push-ups now.
