A Special Update from "Kid Beowulf" Creator Alexis E. Fajardo
by GoComicsExciting news from Kid Beowulf creator Alexis Fajardo!
Daily readers of my action-adventure comic strip Kid Beowulf may have noticed a banner at the end of each daily strip in recent weeks "... something about lingonberries? What's that all about?
Fans of Kid Beowulf know that 12-year-old Beowulf's call to adventure is a bowl of lingonberries, and for the month of June, it's mine, too. This month I launched a Kickstarter to help fund a mobile game called "Lookin' for Lingonberries!" - a puzzle game and comic reading app based on the world of Kid Beowulf. Similar to popular games like "Candy Crush," "Lookin' for Lingonberries" is a match-three-style puzzle game in which players sift through the one-eyed Dragon's treasure hoard, hunt for berries, power-ups and magic swords, and along the way unlock the original comic story that inspired the game - "Lookin' for Lingonberries."
The Kickstarter will help me get the app across the finish line and cover costs including game development, licensing, art production and other game components. I've been working on this game in secret with my game developer, and now we're excited to share the news via Kickstarter and GoComics. I hope all my readers will consider chipping in to help make this game possible - with their help, we can launch this fun game by mid-July and they can start playing!

And remember to read Kid Beowulf four day a week right here at GoComics!
