The GoComics Planet Comicon Kansas City 2017 Event Schedule
by The GoComics TeamIf you keep up with our bountiful blog, you're already aware that the GoComics Creator Showcase at Planet Comicon Kansas City 2017 will be serving up dozens of creators at a veritable continent of tables on April 28-30 at Bartle Hall. Now we're back to help you plan your visit accordingly with a schedule packed with creator signings, drawing demos and panels. There's even an off-site social event and GoComics' first-ever in-house signing. Friday, April 28
2-2:30 p.m.: SIGNING – Todd Clark, cartoonist of Lola and The Ice Cream Kid (Bartle Hall, Booth 1011)
4-4:30 p.m.: DRAWING DEMO – Maria Scrivan, Half Full cartoonist (Bartle Hall, P.E.Z. Stage in the Planet Entertainment Zone)
4:30-5 p.m.: DRAWING DEMO – Sara Zimmerman, Unearthed Comics cartoonist (Bartle Hall, P.E.Z. Stage in the Planet Entertainment Zone)
7-9 p.m.: SIGNING – Stephan Pastis, cartoonist of Pearls Before Swine, with Rainy Day Books (AMU Lobby)
Saturday, April 29
1-2 p.m.: SIGNING – Ben Zaehringer, Berkeley Mews cartoonist (Bartle Hall, Booth 1011)
2:30-3:30 p.m.: PANEL – A conversation will Bill Amend (Foxtrot) and Stephan Pastis (Pearls Before Swine) (Bartle Hall, Room 2105)
4-5 p.m.: SIGNING – Stephan Pastis, Pearls Before Swine cartoonist (Bartle Hall, Booth 1011)
8 p.m.: DRINK ‘N’ DRAW – Join the GoComics Creator Showcase cartoonists at Tapcade! (1701 McGee) as they draw under the influence. They’ll be taking requests, having draw-offs, and maybe even popping open Pictionary. Audience participation encouraged! Open to the public.
Sunday, April 30
11 a.m.-12 p.m.: SIGNING – Ben Zaehringer, Berkeley Mews cartoonist (Bartle Hall, Booth 1011)
2-3 p.m.: PANEL – How to Be a Nerd For a Living: Discovering Careers in Pop-Culture: Sarah's Scribbles creator Sarah Andersen and Up and Out creator Julie Kaye share their professional journeys (Bartle Hall, Room 2102)

There seem to he quite a few promised cartoonists missing from this schedule. Where’s Nick Seluk? Brian Gordon? Chris Harding? Etc…
