Born on this day in 1922, Peanuts creator Charles Schulz spent 50 of his 77 years delighting fans around the world with comics full of humor, heart, and the occasional catchphrase. It's one reason that some fans commemorate the late cartoonist's birthday as "Good Grief Day" -- a play on Charlie Brown's iconic exclamation that expresses just how irreplaceable the creator is.

The world will always miss Schulz, but you never have to miss out on reading his work. Here on GoComics, you can read all of Peanuts and the recolored Peanuts Begins. Particularly notable is the phrase's first appearance, which didn't happen until nearly two years into the series' run.
