The man behind Big Nate, Lincoln Peirce, gets some love from News Center Maine regarding his successful comic strip as a well as his new writing adventure. 

Peirce shares the secret to his successful comic strip, penned from Nate's eleven-year-old point of view:

“I try to write the sort of books I would have loved reading when I was a kid."

Peirce has a series of Big Nate books that are chock-full of adventures kids love to read. Peirce also called attention to his new endeavor, Max and the Midknights. This illustrated novel tells the tale of a young boy who desperately wants to be a knight — and might just be called to his dream in order to save his uncle from a cruel king ...
