Right. Uh huh. Think about it. In the grand scheme of nature, primary herbivores are meant to be killed and eaten by something. I say, go for it babe! He might be pretty good with some fava beans and a nice chianti.
Why is it that Vegetarians go out of their way to tell you they’re Vegans? I don’t tell everyone I meet that I’m not a Vegan. Are we supposed to be impressed?
What we put into our bodies is one of the most personal decisions we can possibly make. I really wish people would stop being so judgmental about what other people eat. It doesn’t concern you so let it be.
Ditto to both Sheila and ChukLitl – people should not be judgmental and hostile about another person’s dietary choices; however, if a person has a restrictive diet, then that should be communicated in advance of meal preparation. As to anti-vegans and anti-vegetarians – do some reading about industrial animal farming practices. Not only do the animals suffer needlessly, but industrial animal production is also environmentally devastating, causes dire impacts on individual and community health, and adversely family farmers. If you care at all about small farmers, your own health, community health, animal welfare, air or water quality, or the fishing industry, then eat only sustainably raised animal products.

If he’s vegan, let him make his own food. The rest of us can just enjoy life.

Yeah, I can handle cooking for vegetarians, but if you take butter and cheese out of my repertoire too, well…. I got nothin’.
You can go out in the back yard and graze.

Do not wait until they’ve cooked six hours to bring up dietary restrictions. He needs the lead.
