Why does this strip remind me of John Kerry and his unfortunate decision to go duck hunting in Ohio? But heck, at least no one (save a few geese according to Kerry ) was harmed, fast forward a few years and DICK Cheney going quail (not Dan) hunting in Texas. Here we had even more harmful consequences besides a tarnished image and Cheney’s gaffe merited a spoof on SNL. The moral is politicians and guns do not mix…..
couple of friends of mine, brothers, go boar hunting with flint locks. I shot, smooth bore. The famous story for them is when one saw a sow leading piglets, waiting for the end of the line knowing the boar was there. he fired, the boar rocked- 75 caliber soft lead ball, turned and charge. Dick’s brother wasn’t in a position for a good shot so dick “in the best tradition of british infantry fixed bayonet and prepared to receive boar.” The boar dropped dead just before he reached the tip-the bullet had gone through both lungs and the heart, it charges on just pure cussedness.
Wasn’t there a video of a rifleman who didn’t have the stock of the rifle firmly planted in the shoulder and Newton’s Third Law of Motion resulted in broken glass?

I have a video game where the bullets home in on the targets without aiming. Now that is what I call high tech.

If he doesn’t brace the stock against a tree or something, that scope will put his eye out. A high powered rifle has a lot of recoil.

Gotta keep down their numbers. Cull the herd, so to speak.

I do not approve of hunting. Except when the target is hunters!

“Raw, savage challenge”? Don’t tweak my whiskers, Portnoy. You’re a dolt out for revenge, that’s all. You’re an anti-human racist, speciesist, bigot.
And, besides, you’re a small game animal….
