“Black Monday”, October 19, 1987, when the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 508 points (22.6 percent), the largest one-day drop by percentage in the index’s history.
I remember getting hit pretty hard in the 2016 sell-off after recovering enough from the 2008 crises to finally have enough faith to start investing in foreign stocks again. After 2016 I only invested in safer blue-chip markets and bonds. I’m not rich enough to play with the big guys. I finally did get my Nordhavn 56 motorsailer though. Of course, it is used but still.
