Not as slow a news day as April 11, 1954. See today’s “Wallace the Brave”.

This was a game my first wife and I used to play: speculating on what the ultimate Boston Herald (a Murdoch-owned tabloid) would be, based on their usual fare. We settled on “RAPE DOC GETS NIC MONEY FROM CLAUS.” (Those who get the references will see how this dates me.)

Kurt Waldheim….. Geez, I have not heard that name in a long time, ex-Nazi turned president for Austria. Cue up the Ramones classic song from the ‘80s “Bonzo Goes To Bitburg” which has ties to people like Waldheim as well as Teflon Ron kind of claiming members of the SS were “victims” just like those who went to concentration camps…… Well I guess this was a good indication that Ron’s Alzheimer’s disease might have started a bit earlier than most suspected but at least Ron could read a tele-prompter properly, I am not sure if the Trumpster or Banker Joe can accomplish that in 2024 without a bunch of gaffes…….
