That’s just as true of the other party, too, whose Majority Leader tried diagnosing Terri Schiavo’s brain function by a short, fuzzy video. Of course, he actually was a doctor – evidently a bad one…
Working with the disabled community, we referred to “normal” folks as “temporarily able bodied”. Folks complaining about fixing health care should note the majority is “temporarily healthy”- and that can change in an instant.
Nobody chooses to lose a limb, or become disabled in an accident, or war- it just “happens”. The same can happen to being “healthy”, and not needing insurance.
Ousting them is as simple as not voting for them. Don’t use party as your criteria but rather vote for what the candidate brings to the needs of the people that make our country. “Dump the Incumbent” should be the mantra in most states/districts.
This pile of political poop is designed to do only one thing - to poison the system such, as to ultimately allow politicians ride to the ‘rescue’ and thus justify a complete takeover by the government bureaucrats.
lalas,
I firmly agree that single term limits answer( or necessarily TL’s in general). Our representitives’ first terms are necessarily a learning experience. If they haven’t screwed up give them a second chance. I do believe we need to do something to decrease the incredible advantage of the incumbent. It shouldn’t just be at the federal level either. I live in NY and our legislature is mostly immune to challenge. It is also completely dysfunctual.

Their not fixing healthcare their just afixing their power so as to make it almost impossible to oust them;like an embedded tic.

Identifying the problem = 90% of solution.

Our system doesn’t allow for that kind of rescue political poop or not.

What if my incumbent is: a) doing a great job b) near the end of his 1st term? Are you proposing a 1 term limit? That isn’t very efficient.
Well played MM.

“Our system doesn’t allow for that kind of rescue …”
Well, technically you are correct - there is still something called the US Constitution.
The politicians have however become incredibly adept at abrogating it, while proclaiming its protection.
