I, for one, really appreciate receiving Christmas letters from old friends. Of course, most of them don’t put as much “spin” in their letters. I’d rather hear their version of what has happened in their family, good or bad, than to have to find out “through the grapevine.” Point being, if people outside the immediate family know, it IS going to get around. You might as well put your version out before the gossip makes all the rounds.
