???what to say??? I have never shot a gun. I understand the need for guns in some circumstances. The USA and most other countries would not exist today without guns. My ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War, Civil War and WWII. I had the Vietnam War but did not go because I was #354 in the lottery draft. College was good, Vietnam was not. My uncle had a little snub nose 38 when he took the cash from his grocery store to the bank. He was ex-navy and was trained to use it. Fighting any trained terrorist today is not for any of my fighting relatives, or me, or the general run of the mill NRA member. When the general population today needs to own guns they should be supplied, with training. And they had better not be a snub nose 38, unless that is all they need.

I think it’s better to have a gun and not need it,than to need one and not have it.

Yeah, that restaurant in Killeen, TX didn’t allow guns. That’s what made it a great place to go shooting, no one allowed to be armed who could shoot back. Schools have that sign up as well.

The NRA does not support militias. The NRA supports proper supervision and teaching of minors at appropriate ages to use firearms safety. Shooting is an appropriate sport for children who are old enough and who are supervised by responsible, knowledgeable adults.
All that being said, this series of strips is wickedly funny.

When seconds count between life and death, the police are only minutes away…
I encourage anyone to learn how to properly and safely operate the tool. Those skills could save a life.
That said, carrying when going into an unknown situation can be unwise, making the holder less cautious.

That’s all he needs is a gun. With his way of thinking he’ll be out along side the road blasting anything that goes by him. Makes ya kind of glad he’s just a cartoon. Huh?
