Most rock musicians have a ton of material in the vaults. They fool around and play songs they like but don’t think their fans would like. Sometimes it is just jamming with the session guys. A lot of it was never expected to see the light of day as the musician did not think it was up to his/her standards. But since they are dead, the record company will release just about anything without regard for quality if they can make a buck.
