Taking sides with Granddad today. It was only seven blocks but we walked to school at minus 25 degrees almost every winter. If anyone missed school there was hell to pay.

All old folks walked uphill both ways to school, how far and how deep the snow was is regional.

I walked 3 blocks to catch the bus for the kids that lived outside the mile radius.
