Let us not forget “The Slap”!

This was the expected ramification of playing up to the ‘gangster rap’ idea and crowd thru throughout the 90s. Too many gang members in entourages, too many young rappers who think that’s the way to get noticed.

One of the good things from this was the continual break-apart of that crowd within the labels. they were too much of a liability for them.
