Huey: Good news! I booked you on "Jerry Springer". Tom: Springer?! Huey: Springer's perfect! You guys will sit on the stage surrounded by those people, your problems will seem like nothing, and you'll work everything out in no time. Tom: But don't people get beat up on that show? Huey: Do they still fight on "Springer"? Well, we better start your Kung Fu training...

Springer? That can only lead to madness.

Never wanted to see that whole show, after seeing the ads for it…
Same applies to every other modern “talk” show on TV.
When we were kids, after we came back from school we always turned on the soap “The Dark Shadows”… Many of our friends watched it too, and we had something to talk about the next morning.

“The Jerry Springer Show” was one of my guilty pleasures. Indeed, it was perhaps my guiltiest, but I did enjoy it. And Springer himself was a great guy, an up-and-coming Democratic politician, a really great and charismatic mayor of Cincinnati, when he made the stupidest mistake a politician can make — paid a prostitute with a personal check.
Talk about making lemonade out of lemons!
