Huey: No, I'm looking for Clarence Carter...uh-huh, Carter. You never heard "Strokin'"? It's blues... What about Johnnie Taylor? No Johnnie Taylor? What about Bobby "Blue" Bland? Look, I need a cheap gift for my Granddad, and he likes the blues. What blues you got? Eric Clapton?! I said blues!! Don't make me come down there and smack somebody...I have stress issues!!

I saw B B King live, but I’ll take Bobby “Blue” Bland’s version of God Bless The Child any time it is offered.

Wynton Marsalis recorded an album of old-time blues with a band of superb New Orleans musicians. Plus Eric Clapton on guitar. If he’s good enough for Mr. Marsalis, he should be good enough for Huey. By the way, it’s a terrific album.
