    Yeah, I like spinach, too, but in Indian food, which is not the way my mother used to make it, which could be referred to as toxic slime. :P

    A report on the amount of iron in spinach had a misplaced decimal point which led to the myth that spinach was extra good for us.I like spinach in salads, as long as the stems are cut off. Meals on Wheels salads never cut the stems off . Nasty.And the old joke about spinach stuck between your teeth? So true.

    The original cartoon was all about Olive Oyl and her boyfriend. Popeye was a “throw away” character intended for a couple of strips. The public liked him so much that the old boyfriend “disappeared.”
