MAD Magazine had a spoof of 2001: A Space Odyssey in which one of the astronauts was offered a piece of coffee along with glasses of steak and potatoes.

Not strong enough. It still had to be carried in from the kitchen. Let me know when it can walk in by itself.

My dad always said that a good coffee test was to drop a half inch steel ball bearing in the pot. When the ball bearing floated, the coffee was done.

Even better than the coffee in our shop.. we figured ours was good when a spoon would stand up in it.

That could never happen with my Nuclear Coffee, the stuff won’t stop moving unless you store it in unobtainium

Reminds me of a Sgt. Mike cartoon where the mess hall was serving coffee from a sheet pan with a spatula.

I use 5 tablespoons coffee in a 12 oz cup. I just checked it to be sure.
