My wife has, sadly, occasion recently to spend time in the hospital. Lots of monitors hooked up in every room. Most of them beeping an out of range alarm. Constantly and continually. And being completely ignored by all medical staff. Constantly and continually.
Who needs another screen of squiggles that only the medical people can interpret? At least he has something to focus on that will help keep his mind off his troubles.
